Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Spice Street (the "Service"), operated by [INSERT REGISTERED COMPANY OR TRADING NAME] ("Spice Street", "we", "us"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. What Spice Street is

Spice Street is a listings platform that lets independent restaurants, cafés, bakeries, and shops ("Owners") publish time-limited offers, which anyone can browse without creating an account ("Diners"). We are a directory and discovery tool — we are not a party to any purchase, redemption, or transaction between a Diner and an Owner, and we do not process payments for goods or services sold by Owners.

2. Owner accounts and eligibility

  • You must be authorised to act on behalf of the business you register, and the information you provide (business name, city, category, contact details) must be accurate and kept up to date.
  • Access to an Owner account is granted via a passwordless ("magic link") sign-in sent to the email address on file. You are responsible for keeping access to that email address secure.
  • We may suspend or terminate an account that we reasonably believe is fraudulent, abusive, or in breach of these Terms.

3. Subscription and billing

  • There is no free trial. Creating an Owner account gives you access to your dashboard to set up your listing, but your restaurant or shop is not visible to Diners until you subscribe.
  • Using the Service publicly requires a paid subscription, billed on a recurring basis at the price shown at checkout. Payment is processed by Stripe; we do not store your card details.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard's billing section, which opens Stripe's billing portal.
  • We may, at our discretion, grant an account complimentary access for a limited period (for example, as part of onboarding a new business). This is not a right and is not available by default.

4. Your offers and content

  • You retain ownership of the text, photos, and other content you submit ("Offer Content"). By submitting it, you grant Spice Street a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce, and distribute it as part of the Service.
  • You are solely responsible for the accuracy of your Offer Content, including pricing, availability, and dates. Spice Street does not verify offers before they go live.
  • You must not post content that is false, misleading, illegal, or that infringes someone else's rights.
  • We may remove, hide, or edit any Offer Content, and may suspend an Owner's listing entirely, at our discretion — including where a subscription has lapsed, where content breaches these Terms, or where we receive a credible complaint.

5. Redemptions

Where an offer generates a redemption code, that code is a mechanism for the Owner to track and confirm in-store redemptions. Spice Street does not guarantee that a code will be honoured — the agreement to provide the goods or services described in an offer is between the Diner and the Owner alone.

6. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that listings are accurate, current, or error-free, and we are not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of anything offered by an Owner.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Spice Street is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll make reasonable efforts to notify Owners (for example, by email) before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [CONFIRM: England and Wales], and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
